Best Family Hotels in Da Nang Near My Khe Beach

Choose the room layout, beach approach and full family price that will make everyday holiday routines easier.

A good family hotel near My Khe Beach needs to work at bedtime as well as breakfast. Start with who sleeps in which bed, whether adults can sit elsewhere after the children settle, and how the walk to the sand works with a pushchair. An impressive sea view cannot fix the wrong sleeping arrangement.

This shortlist compares four hotels through those practical needs. It is research-led, based on published room descriptions and policies checked on 23 October 2026. The choices are not a ranking of personally tested service or the cheapest available rates; dates, room availability and the complete price for your family still need checking.

Keep an indoor fallback

A usable living area can be more valuable than a rooftop view when beach time changes.

Family hotels in Da Nang: start with the exact room

The selection favours useful family layouts in the My Khe hotel area over a longer list of interchangeable sea-view rooms. The decision order is sleeping arrangements, practical indoor space, the route to the beach, then the complete quote. Facilities such as a children’s club are useful additions, but they do not replace a suitable room.

Published room details checked 23 October 2026. Areas describe the whole advertised category, not measured usable floor space.
Hotel and categoryPublished layoutMost useful whenTrade-off to check
TMS · Family Suite 2-bedroom70 m²; two king-bed rooms; kitchenette; one bathroom.[1]You want separate sleeping rooms and light meal preparation.Children sharing the second bed; one bathroom.
Sala · Family Suite Panoramic View56 m²; connecting layout; one double and two single beds; maximum four people.[3]Children need separate single beds.Partial ocean/city view; confirm bathroom arrangement.
Altara · Serenity Suite90 m²; king plus twins or queen; two bathrooms; published capacity four adults.[4]You want an apartment base and a choice of second-bedroom beds.Confirm king-and-twin, not king-and-queen, if separate beds matter.
Monarque · Suite Family with Two Bedrooms70 m²; queen plus two singles; separate living room; large window without a view.[5]A separate living area matters more than the room outlook.Do not confuse this suite with a sea-view category.

These room names matter more than the hotel’s headline rating. A search showing an attractive standard double room has not priced the family category in this table. Enter the full group first, then compare like-for-like rooms on the hotel website and booking services.

TMS: decide between a kitchenette and two bathrooms

TMS’s 70 m² Family Suite combines two sleeping rooms with a kitchenette and one bathroom. Its 80 m² Grand Suite is a different arrangement: two internally connected rooms, each with its own bathroom. Both use two large beds, rather than a double-and-twin combination.[1][2][6]

That gives the choice a clear purpose. The Family Suite is the stronger starting point for preparing simple snacks and keeping a shared living routine. The Grand Suite deserves attention when bathroom queues and privacy would be the bigger inconvenience. The published Grand Suite facilities do not establish a kitchenette, so do not assume the larger category includes everything in the smaller one.

The hotel publishes a rooftop pool and a complimentary children’s club. Confirm the club’s age limits, current activities and supervision arrangements for your dates. Cots are available on request, subject to availability.[1] TMS also explicitly describes the beach as across the road.[7][6]

With children who do not share a bed happily, compare the alternatives below before paying for the sea view. For a baby, establish where the cot will fit and whether the bedroom can remain comfortable with it in place.

Compare the exact Family or Grand Suite on Agoda’s TMS property page and Booking.com’s TMS property page. Check the named room and everyone’s breakfast inclusion, rather than the first displayed price.

Sala: a clear connecting choice for separate single beds

Sala’s Family Suite Panoramic View has an internal connecting door, one double bed and two singles, with a published maximum of four people. The 56 m² category is described as having partial ocean and city views. The hotel’s address is 36–38 Lâm Hoành, rather than a hotel entrance directly on the sand.[3]

This is a sensible first comparison for two adults and two children who need their own beds. Book the named family category. Asking for two ordinary rooms next to each other is a different request and should not be treated as a confirmed connection.

For a longer stay requiring cooking and washing facilities, Sala also publishes a much larger, separate Two Bedroom Apartment category with a kitchenette and washing machine. Those facilities should not be transferred to the 56 m² Family Suite description. Its facilities pages also list an infinity pool.[10][11]

The family-suite choice is strongest when the sleeping arrangement does the work. If your priority is a full apartment routine, compare the larger apartment quote with Altara before deciding. Ask Sala to show the current pedestrian route from reception to the beach, including the crossing and any steps.

Look for the Family Suite Panoramic View on Agoda’s Sala listing or Booking.com’s Sala listing. Keep the room category and cancellation conditions the same when comparing totals.

Altara: useful apartment space for a longer family stay

Altara’s Serenity Suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, with a king bed plus either twin beds or a queen. Its own room page gives 90 m² and a capacity of four adults. The wider apartment description includes a kitchen, dining area and washing machine.[4][9]

That combination earns its place for families who expect to prepare a few meals, wash beach clothes or spend part of the afternoon indoors. The benefit grows when those jobs recur for several days. For a short stay spent mostly outside, additional apartment space may be less valuable than the simpler room arrangement you actually need.

The hotel puts itself about 150 metres from My Khe Beach and advertises a rooftop infinity pool. Treat that distance as the property’s broad description, not a timed or step-free walk. Its location is on the northern part of the hotel strip; the booking listing gives 120 Võ Nguyên Giáp.[8][14]

Ask for the king-and-twin version explicitly if the children need separate beds. Also confirm the kitchen equipment you intend to use, washing facilities in the booked unit, pool access and the exact entrance. Similar apartment names and photographs are not enough to establish that every listing includes the same hotel services.

Compare the Serenity configuration on Agoda’s Altara Suites page and Booking.com’s Altara Suites page. Check the room description as well as the property name.

Monarque: separate living space without a sea-view promise

Monarque’s Suite Family with Two Bedrooms pairs a queen bed with two single beds and a separate living room. Its published 70 m² specification explicitly says the large window has no view. The address is 238 Võ Nguyên Giáp.[5]

That is a useful, honest distinction for a family hotel shortlist. If adults want somewhere to sit after bedtime, a separate living room may matter more than the view. If seeing the sea from your room is part of the holiday you are paying for, this particular category does not meet that requirement.

Before choosing it, check photographs of the bedroom doors and living area, ask how many bathrooms serve the suite, and confirm the permitted occupancy for your family’s ages. Do not infer the bathroom count from the number of bedrooms. A different Monarque room with a sea-view name is not automatically an equivalent family layout.

The child-policy example later in this guide shows why a quote for a smaller room with children sharing their parents’ bed can differ from a family-suite quote. Compare the complete arrangements, including who actually gets a bed, rather than assuming one is always cheaper.

Check Monarque’s family category through Agoda and Booking.com. Confirm that the room description matches the suite discussed here before comparing the final price.

Check the whole journey from reception to the sand

My Khe’s broad beach runs south from the Sơn Trà peninsula. Hotels are spread along and behind the coastal road, so the beach name alone does not establish the entrance, crossing or walking route. TMS, for example, explicitly says guests cross the road to reach the beach.[15][6]

Use this four-stage check with each property. It is an original route-checking method, not a claim that every hotel has the same approach.

  1. Reception to pavement: find out which entrance you use, whether there are steps, and where a pushchair can pass.
  2. Pavement to crossing: ask for the route the hotel recommends with children, including any detour to a suitable crossing.
  3. Crossing to promenade: establish whether there are kerbs, parked vehicles or other obstacles that affect your group.
  4. Promenade to sand: locate the actual beach access and decide what to carry, where to leave footwear and how to return for the toilet or a rest.

Assess the walk in the conditions when you will use it. A family carrying towels, a pushchair and beach toys moves differently from an unladen adult. If you expect two beach visits each day, a small access inconvenience repeats four times on the outward and return journeys.

A room facing the sea describes an outlook. It does not establish direct access, a private beach, a supervised pool or suitable swimming conditions. Follow beach signs and lifeguard instructions on the day, and keep young children closely supervised around water.

A four-stage beach-access check: reception and entrance, pavement to a suitable crossing, crossing to the promenade, then the actual entrance onto the sand. Check steps, kerbs, pushchair access and the return route. This is a generic checking schematic, not a map of any hotel.
Original beach-access checking schematic, not a geographic map or a claim that every property has the same route. TMS explicitly confirms that its beach access crosses a road.[6]

Compare the complete family price, including ages

Ask for a total covering the entire stay: room, tax and service charges, every traveller, breakfast, cots or extra beds, and any arrival or departure extras. Check which items are already included so that you do not add them twice. A rate for two adults is not a family quote.

Monarque’s policy allows up to two children to share their parents’ bed: ages 0–5 free, ages 6–11 at 200,000 VND each per night, both including breakfast; ages 12+ count as adults. Checked 23 October 2026.[12]

Swipe or scroll to see all columns.

Four-night child supplements under that policy; room and other charges excluded.
Children’s agesCalculationSupplement for four nights
4 and 50 × 40 VND
5 and 81 × 200,000 × 4800,000 VND
8 and 102 × 200,000 × 41,600,000 VND

Confirm the permitted occupancy and whether the policy applies to your selected rate. The calculation does not price a family suite. Saving money by sharing a bed has little value if the arrangement leaves everyone tired.

A simple comparison rule

Write each candidate as: complete accommodation total + extras you will actually use. Beside it, record separate beds, separate bedrooms, bathrooms, breakfast and cancellation deadline. Pay more only for differences that solve a real need. Do not compare a non-refundable room without breakfast against a flexible family suite as if the prices describe the same purchase.

For a longer Vietnam trip, the Trip Itinerary Planner can organise nights and open searches. Its hotel searches use adult and room counts: add children and their ages on the booking website before treating any result as relevant to your family.

Four-night child supplements: ages 4 and 5, 0 VND; 5 and 8, 800,000 VND; 8 and 10, 1,600,000 VND. Sharing parents’ bed only; room costs excluded.
Original calculation from Monarque’s policy, checked 23 October 2026. Confirm its application to your selected room and rate.[12]

Arrange arrival around your family, then confirm the booking

Da Nang airport lists authorised metered taxis outside arrivals at both terminals. A pre-arranged transfer is another practical option when you need space for several cases, a pushchair or a confirmed child restraint. Give the provider the exact hotel name and entrance, terminal, flight details, passenger ages and luggage count.[13]

Ask the hotel for a complete transfer quote and compare it with Da Nang airport-to-city taxi options on 12Go. The city search is broader than these four hotels: check the actual drop-off, vehicle, luggage allowance, waiting time and any child-seat provision before paying. A vehicle’s advertised seat count alone does not confirm the arrangement you need.

Send one precise confirmation request

  • Your dates, arrival time, number of adults and every child’s age.
  • The exact room category, bed configuration and whether the connection is internal and guaranteed.
  • Permitted occupancy, cot or extra-bed arrangements, and breakfast for each person.
  • The full total, deposit, cancellation deadline and the cost of any early access or late departure you require.
  • Current pool or children’s-club operation, age restrictions and the recommended beach walk.

Once the essentials are confirmed, reserve the room whose conditions suit your plans. If the forecast makes long beach sessions unlikely, give more weight to indoor room space and the activities you can comfortably reach. A rooftop pool remains an outdoor facility.

Use the Da Nang travel guide to plan sights and outings around your hotel, and the Vietnam planning hub for the wider route. Keep the chosen hotel pinned in your plan so that later transfers use its real location.

Frequently asked questions

Does booking two rooms guarantee a connecting door?

No. A request for nearby rooms does not establish an internal connection. Reserve a specifically described connecting category, or obtain written confirmation that the two rooms form the arrangement you need. Recheck that the confirmation covers both rooms for every night.

Can grandparents and children share one of these suites?

Possibly, but count adults, children, separate beds and bathrooms before deciding. A published four-person capacity does not automatically become six because two travellers are young. Ask for the permitted occupancy and the full charge for your particular group; two confirmed connecting rooms may suit different bedtimes better.

Which option should a family needing step-free access choose?

The room information used here does not establish a complete step-free route from vehicle to bedroom, bathroom, pool and beach. Send your specific requirements to the property, request current photographs or measurements, and check each stage separately before making a non-refundable reservation.

Choose the room and beach routine that suit your family

Choose the room that solves your family’s hardest daily problem. For separate single beds, compare Sala with Altara’s king-and-twin Serenity option. For simple meal preparation, examine Altara and TMS’s Family Suite closely. If a separate living room matters more than looking out to sea, put Monarque on the list. Finish by checking the actual beach walk and a written total for everyone travelling.
